Other Site Characteristics

Das Gebiet umfasst Wiesen- und Moorkomplexe sowie mehrere Flussabschnitte im Bereich der Endmoräne des Salzachgletschers.Aufgrund der diversen Nutzungsstrukturen und der Vielfalt an Biotoptypen zählt das Gebiet zu den artenreichsten in Oberösterreich. Flächenmäßig liegen über 95 % aller Moore des oberösterreichischen Alpenvorlandes innerhalb dieses Gebietes.

4.2 Quality and importance

Die Moorlebensräume weisen gute, in Teilbereichen sehr gute Qualität auf. Die bedeutendsten bekannten Vorkommen der Windelschnecken (Vertigo angustior, V. geyeri) wurden im Gebiet berücksichtigt.
