Other Site Characteristics

o La ZPS comprend d'une part, des prairies, mares et étangs situés au bord de la Sambre dans la région de Tamines et, d'autre part, un massif forestier mixte (Bois de la Haie des Chênes ), situé au sud d'Aiseau.

4.2 Quality and importance

o Zone importante dans un réseau écologique global cohérent car abritant des espèces relativement peu communes dans une région fort industrialisée : Gorgebleue à miroir blanc (Tamines) et Pic noir à Aiseau.
