Other Site Characteristics

o La vallée de la Gueule, en amont de Kelmis, peut être considérée comme un trait d'union entre le paysage fagnard et le paysage typique du Pays de Herve ; le site comprend des milieux variés établis sur sols calcaires, tourbeux, acidiphiles ou calaminaires et recèle une grande diversité biologique.

4.2 Quality and importance

o Importante zone humide, comportant, le long de la berge du ruisseau , une flore riche et diversifiée ;o Présence de divers types forestiers dont une frênaie-aulnaie abritant de magnifiques exemplaires d'Ulmus laevis (*44.32) ; o Présence d'une remarquable halde calaminaire (34.2) au sud du site.
