Other Site Characteristics

Le site correspond à l'ensemble de milieux ouverts et forêts sur sols tourbeux en bordure sud du Plateau des Hautes Fagnes, englobant ainsi la Fagne de la Polleur, les Fagnes du Neur Lowé, du Setay et du Lovaiseu.

4.2 Quality and importance

Le site se distingue par ses tourbières, bas-marais acides, ses landes tourbeuses, la lisière à nardaire à la limite du « setchamp » du Mont Rigi et ses buttes à Phragmites australis. L'avifaune est représentée la Pie-grièche grise, la Pie-grièche écorcheur, le Pic noir et la Chouette de Tengmalm.
