Other Site Characteristics

o Massif forestier situé autour du village de Daverdisse, s'étirant entre Halma et Gembes, et traversé du Nord au S par la Lesse. Il comprend les parcours de vallons encaissés, affluents de la Lesse et notamment, la vallée de l'Almache. Le relief chahuté génère une grande qualité de milieux. D'autres habitats de qualité sont présents sur le site bien que non éligibles : aulnaies marécageuses, étangs, chênaies acidophiles sèches climaciques.

4.2 Quality and importance

o Site contenant l'ensemble des habitats caractéristiques de la Basse et Moyenne Ardenne et, pour les forêts, dans un état de conservation excellent ; o Présence de forêts alluviales de qualité exceptionnelle ;o Présence d'autres habitats de qualité, bien que non éligibles: aulnaies marécageuses, étangs, chênaies acidophiles sèches climaciques.
