Strukturreiche Agrarlandschaft mit prägenden Waldinseln, Gehölzgruppen, Allen und Baumreihen, mit z.T. parkähnlichem Charakter, ergänzt durch das Flußsystem der Stepenitz und ihren Nebengewässern mit Erlensäumen und Grünlandbereichen.

4.2 Quality and importance

Bedeutender Lebensraum für Brut- und Zugvögel, inbesondere EU-weite Bedeutung als Brutgebiet von Ortolan, Neuntöter, Schwarzstorch und Kranich, EU-weite Bedeutung als Rastgebiet des Zwergschwanes Zahlreiche alte, landschaftsbildprägende Alleen.
