Other Site Characteristics

Ausgedehnter, genutzter Truppenübungsplatz mit großflächigen Zwergstrauchheiden, Binnendünen, naturnahen Laubwäldern und Resten eines kleinen Hoch- und Zwischenmoorkomplexes.

4.2 Quality and importance

Brutgebiet und Nahrungsgebiet sowie z.T. Jahreslebensraum typischer Vogelarten der Wälder, Moore und Heiden. Top-5-Gebiet für eine Anzahl von Arten, insbesondere Ziegenmelker, Brachpieper, Heidelerche und ehemals Blauracke (C6). Die vor- und frühgeschichtliche Besiedlung war wahrscheinlich dichter, als die wenigen bekannten Fundstellen in den Wäldern aussagen. Es liegen keine Informationen vor.
