Other Site Characteristics

Landschaftsausschnitt (4 Teilfächen) mit mehreren oligotrophen Stillgewässern sowie einem degradierten Hochmoorrest am Nordrand des Kreises Borken in einem überwiegend landwirtschaftlich intensiv genutzten Umfeld. Ergänzung zu 3.3.: Im Gebiet gibt es bedeutsame Vorkommen folgender Vogelarten: Teichrohrsänger, Baumfalke, Bekassine, Wasserralle.

4.2 Quality and importance

Oligotrophe Gewässer verschiedener Altersstadien in zumeist gutem bis hervorragendem Erhaltungszustand mit großem botanischen Artenreichtum. Auf dem Hochmoorrest im NSG 'Ruenberger Venn' sind Feuchtheiden und alte Torfkuhlen vorhanden.
