Other Site Characteristics

Eutrophe Seen mit ausgedehnten, reich gegliederten Verlandungsgürteln. Enge Verzahnung von nährstoffarmen bis reichen Wiesen, Torfstichschlenken, Moorwäldern und -gebüschen sowie Riedkomplexen. Binnendünen mit offenen Abschnitten.

Repräsentative und kohärenzsichernde Vorkommen von LRT und Arten der Anhänge I und II der FFH RL, insbesondere von Pfeifengraswiesen kalkreicher Standorte, von Moorwäldern, kalkreichen Niedermooren, Übergangsmooren und z.T. offenen Dünen. Ehemaliger Truppenübungsplatz. Landschaftsgeschichtliche Archivfunktion der Moorkörper.
