Other Site Characteristics

Die 8 Dünenmuldenmoore weisen teilweise noch hochmoorartige Vegetation auf. Es finden sich nicht nur Wollgrasbestände, sondern auch Bult-Schlenken-Komplexe und Schwingrasen. Hinzu kommen Regenerationsstadien in kleinen Torfstichen. Ergänzung zu 3.3.: Im Gebiet gibt es bedeutsame Vorkommen folgender Vogelarten: Baumfalke, Heidelerche, Krickente, Schwarzspecht, Zwergtaucher

Das Große Veen weist eine überragende Bedeutung aufgrund der gut entwickelten Moorvegetation auf u.a auch als Lebensraum für die Große Moosjungfer. Alte Eichenbeständen bieten Schwarzspecht und Hirschkäfer gute Lebensbedingungen. Dünenkomplexe
