Other Site Characteristics

Landschaftsausschnitte mit Kalkmagerrasen, Wacholderheiden, Borstgrasrasen und Buchenwäldern. Vielfach durchsetzt mit Dolomitfelsen, durchzogen von Fließgewässern. Wiesen unterschiedlichen Charakters.

4.2 Quality and importance

Landesweit bedeutsame Kalkmagerrasen und Wacholderheiden, Wiesen-Biotopkomplexe, Vorkommen gefährdeter Arten (z.B. Orchideen, Schmetterlinge, Wildbienen). Altholzreiche Perlgras- und Orchideenbuchenwälder. Dolomitfelsen, Kalkquellen. Die Kalkmagerrasen/Wacholderheiden entstanden im Mittelalter durch Rodung des Waldes auf Teilflächen und ßeweidung (Schiffelwirtschaft). Alte Kohlemeiler. Dolomitfelsen
