Brigach, Breg und Donau mit Feuchtwiesen und Mooren (Neckarursprung) im Bereich der Baar, Eschach u. Bäche klare Fließgewässer mit Wiesen, Schafweiden, Magerrasen. Moorgebiet am Schwarzwaldrand, Nasswiesen und Niedermoore. Ein großer, alter Eichenwald

4.2 Quality and importance

Bedeutende Vorkommen Unio crassus, Bromus grossus u. seltener Fischarten. Letztes lebendes Hochmoor der Baar. Wiesengebiete als Lebensraum des Braunkehlchens. Massenvorkommen von Frauenschuh, Pyrolaceen u. Epipogium in Fichtenforsten. alte Römerstraße führte vorbei, röm. Münzschatz (290 n. Chr.), -Schwertfund (1200-750 v.Chr.), alte bad.-württ. Landesgrenze. Fürstlicher Wald. Huteweide, Modell der hallstattzeitlichen Vegetation am Westrand der Baar, Feldgraswirtschaft. Wacholderheiden als Relikte früherer Nutzung als Schafweide Neckarursprung. Pollenprofil im Plattenmoos
