Other Site Characteristics

Naturnaher Hochrheinabschnitt mit Auenwald und Röhrichten. Hangwälder, Reliktföhrenwald und Trockenrasen an Steilhängen sowie Hohentengener Ried mit artenreichen Wiesen, kleinflächige regional sehr seltene Kalkflachmoore. 6210 orchideenreich.

4.2 Quality and importance

Ein Ausbreitungszentrum des Bibers. Vorkommen einer weitgehend naturnahen Ufervegetation. Vorkommen von Reliktstandorten im Kiefernwald und auf anstehendem Fels. Westlichstes Vorkommen des Kopfbinsenrieds im Hohentengener Ried. Bohnerzlöcher oder steinzeitliches Bergwerk im Bereich 'Grubenholz'
