Other Site Characteristics

Gran llanura de yesos ligeramente expuestos al sur, con materiales continentales miocénicos. Está drenada por una red encajada de barrancos que a veces constituyen valles de fondo plano cuaternarios.

4.2 Quality and importance

ZEPA y Refugio de Fauna Silvestre que alberga vegetación y fauna esteparia característica de las estepas de la Depresión del Ebro, siendo una de las áreas mejor conservadas. La precipitación anual media es inferior a 300 mm.
