4.2 Quality and importance

Se trata de una zona exclusivamente marina caracterizada por la presencia de praderas de Posidonia de interés. Alberga regularmente poblaciones migratorias e inverantes de seis especies de aves incluidas en el Anexo I de la Directiva 2009/147/CE. La zona es utilizada en la época postnupcial por la gaviota de Audouin y el cormorán moñudo. También utilizada como área de alimentación invernal por la pardela mediterránea, pardela balear, gaviota cabecinegra y charrán patinegro.
