Son comunidades características de este lugar: Senecio bayonensis-Alnetum glutinosae; Iberidetum procumbentis; Zosteretum noltii.

4.2 Quality and importance

Estuario del río Miño en el que predominan los ambientes intermareales. En las riberas existen manchas de bosque ripícola y vegetación palustre. Alberga 3.500 aves acuáticas durante el período invernal. El río Miño alberga las poblaciones de Salmón Atlántico (Salmo salar) más meridionales de Europa. El río Miño está Incluido en el inventario de aguas importantes para la ictiofauna (Dir. 78/659/CEE). Se trata de un espacio transfronterizo, compartido con Portugal. Experiencia de cuatro años en el desarrollo de acciones coordinadas por el Grupo de Trabajo Galicia - Norte de Portugal.
