Other Site Characteristics

Ibai hau Ebroren ibaiadarretako bat da ezkerraldetik. Arabako Haranetan, lurraldearen mendebaldean eta Burgosekiko mugan kokatutako Gaubea harana taxutzen du. 24 kilometro inguruko ibai-ibilgua barneratu dute proposatutako eremuan. Populazio dentsitate baxua da ur eta ibaiertzetan kalitate biologiko onargarria mantentzen lagundu duen faktoreetako bat, nahiz eta nekazal-inguru bat den batik bat. Omecillok landare erripako orla estua, baina jarraikorra, mantentzen du ertzetan. Tumecillo ibaiadarra Angostoko igarobide estuan zehar doa, pinu gorri eta karraskalen baso handiz osatutako paisaia zeharkatuz. **************************************************** Este río es uno de los afluentes del Ebro por su margen izquierda. Configura el valle de Valdegovía, enclavado en la comarca de Valles Alaveses, al oeste del territorio y limítrofe con Burgos. Unos 24 km de cauce fluvial han sido incluidos en el espacio propuesto. La baja densidad de población es uno de los factores que ha contribuido a mantener una aceptable calidad biológica en agua y riberas, a pesar de que el entorno es predominantemente agrícola. El Omecillo mantiene una continua pero estrecha orla de vegetación riparia en sus márgenes. Su afluente el Tumecillo discurre a través del estrecho paso de Angosto, cruzando un paisaje dominado por amplias masas forestales de pino silvestre y carrasca.

4.2 Quality and importance

Galeria-basoaren kalitatea eta egitura ona da; gune askotan lore aniztasun handia dago eta zuhaitz espezie autoktonoak dira nagusi: lizarrak, makalak, sahatsak, intsusak...Honek, ibilguaren baldintza originalen mantentzearekin batera, Omecillok interes biologiko goreneko ibai-zatiak eskaintzea ekarri du, arrain-faunaren nahiz ibaiarekin loturiko beste hainbat ornodun-talderen aniztasunagatik. Omecillo ur-ipurtatsaren banaketa-eremuaren zati dela azpimarratu behar da. **************************************************** La calidad y estructura del bosque de galería es buena, existiendo una elevada diversidad florística en muchos puntos, con especies arboladas autóctonas predominando: fresnos, chopos, sauces, saúcos... Este hecho junto con el mantenimiento de las condiciones originales del cauce ha permitido que el Omecillo presente tramos fluviales del máximo interés biológico, por la diversidad de la fauna piscícola y de otros grupos de vertebrados asociados a la ribera. Es necesario destacar que el Omecillo forma parte del área de distribución del visón europeo.
