Other Site Characteristics

Valle estrecho aunque extenso, en el que contrastan los relieves elevados de naturaleza granítica del sector más noroccidental con las formaciones más alomadas de los sustratos pizarrosos. Junto a ellos, la erosión fluvial sobre calizas masivas ha originado relieves angostos como la Garganta del Puente de los Navarros. Se conforma por tanto un mosaico de relieve condicionado por losmateriales geológicos que incluye diferencias de altitud de hasta 2.000 metros de desnivel.
