Other Site Characteristics

Garganta excavada por el río Isábena al atravesar una zona de calizas marinas masivas en una zona situada por debajo de 1200 m. sobre el nivel del mar. Además de las paredes con flora rupícola, destaca el bosque higrófilo mixto bien conservado y apreciable cobertura. El cauce del río mantiene la naturalidad. Atravesado por carretera con túneles.

4.2 Quality and importance

Una de las gargantas bien conservadas en el Pirineo oriental con una representación bien conservada del hábitat prioritario, bosques de los barrancos de Tilio - Acerion.
