Other Site Characteristics

LIC situado en la margen izquierda del río Martín en el tramo medio-bajo coincidiendo con una serie de plataformas carbonatadas finiterciarias dentro de la Depresión del Ebro. Una intensa red de barrancos e incisiones lineales diseccionan la estructura dominante. La abundancia de afloramientos yesíferos condiciona la aparición amplias extensiones con matorrales gypsícolas encabezados por Ononis tridentata, Gypsophyla hispanica, Lygeum spartum etc. entremezcladas con campos de cultivo de secano, pastizales secos y algunas sabinas aisladas.
