Other Site Characteristics

Plana sobre material miocénico y yesífero, característica de la zona central del Valle del Ebro. Se trata de los restos de las primitivas planicies que configuraban la cubeta del Ebro. Clima semiárido, con escasas precipitaciones y un régimen eólico importante, lo que determina procesos de erosión eólica y de tipo kárstico sobre las formaciones yesíferas: simas, microlapiaces y pequeños colapsos.

Reserva Ornitológica de propiedad privada destacada por su importante fauna esteparia (especialmente aves). Incluye dos hábitats de interés prioritario (Estepas salinas mediterráneas y Vegetación gipsícola ibérica).
