4.2 Quality and importance

Macizo de más de 1800 metros de altitud que hace de divisoria entre las sierras de Gúdar y Javalambre y las montañas ibéricas prelitorales. Alberga endemismos compartidos con las sierras citadas, así como restos de flora eurosiberiana. Presencia de micromamíferos y reptiles muy escasos en la C. Valenciana por su distribución norteña.
