Pequeñas charcas temporales de origen natural o acondicionadas, que se emplean de abrevaderos para el ganado y la captación de agua. El entorno es una formación caliza de origen fundamentalmente pliocenico en forma de colinas con una amplia superficie de de roca aflorante.

4.2 Quality and importance

El lugar tiene interés por el hecho de incluir un hábitat prioritario de la Directiva Hábitats: estanque temporal mediterráneo.
