Other Site Characteristics

Los acantilados constituyen la unidad geomorfológica predominante en la franja litoral, con diferentes alturas y sometidos a la acción del medio marino.

4.2 Quality and importance

Espacio importante para Hábitats de Interés Comunitario, destacando los desarrollados en los acantilados bajo la influencia marina (salpicaduras y aerosoles) como el HIC 1240 y 1430, estando presentes especies como Rosmarinus tomentosus y Maytenus senegalensis. Igualmente destacan los fondos rocosos, tanto del mediolitoral como el infralitoral, que forman parte del HIC 1170, con presencia de especies como Patella ferruginea, Dendropoma petraeum, Astroides calycularis, Centrostephanus longispinus, Erosaria spurca, Luria lurida, Lithopahaga lithophaga, Pinna rudis o Charonia lampas.
