Other Site Characteristics

Es una explotación de hierro y cobre de la época romana, en cuya área se pueden localizar restos de las estructuras relacionadas con la extracción (cargaderos de mineral, restos del poblado minero...). Se trata de un complejo minero con multitud de galerías y pozos en los que no se ha podido constatar la previsible intercomunicación entre ellos. Se han observado tres galerías (una de ellas taponada con hormigón desde 1993), y hasta 20 conductos verticales de diversa índole, pudiendo existir algunos más.

4.2 Quality and importance

Este refugio cuenta con un importante número de R mehelyi criando. En esta cavidad, además crían 5 especies más. En los cinco últimos años el refugio ha sido víctima de varios incidentes, que sin lugar a duda, han afectado negativamente sobre la población de murciélagos (taponamiento de dos entradas a la mina: una por causas naturales y otra por acción del hombre).
