Extensa playa arenosa, con grandes lagunas formadas por la marea y vegetación halófila en el margen interior.

4.2 Quality and importance

Este área alberga la franja de litoral con las praderas de fanerógamas marinas más extensas del archipiélago. Por tanto, es un área de gran importancia por su productividad pesquera, además de ser un área de descanso para numerosas especies de aves limícolas, tortugas marinas, y delfines, loc cuales han sido observados muy cerca de la costa. En esta zona se ha constatado la reprodución de la tortuga laúd, por lo que es el único punto de la Unión Europea donde se ha realizado la puesta de este reptil. Los aportes eólicos de arenas y las mareas han configurado un complejo y dinámico sistema de dunas de arena, canales e islotes y lagunas de vegetación psamófila, que configuran un hábitat de gran singularidad en las islas.
