4.2 Quality and importance

L'étang de la Horre est un vaste plan d'eau dont l'origine est attestée depuis la Moyen-Age. Il est apparenté au type naturel des étangs eutrophes. Ce site est d'intérêt ornithologique majeur durant la période de nidification mais aussi durant les périodes migratoires.
