Other Site Characteristics

Plateau interfluvial au relief uniforme et aux sols argilo-calcaires. Boisements de feuillus sur les coteaux périphériques et polyculture-élevage sur le plateau central. Eléments paysagers diversifiés : bosquets, haies basses, mares, dépressions humides et landes relictuelles. Intensification agricole : drainage et mise en culture des prairies, disparition de l'élevage extensif, destruction des haies, pesticides, pratiques culturales néfastes pour l'avifaune. Disparition ou pollution des mares.

4.2 Quality and importance

Présence de haies basses et de prairies dans la partie nord permettant l'existence d'une importante population de pie-grièches écorcheurs (25-30 couples). Zone d'hivernage significative pour le Pluvier doré (10 à 1500 individus) et le Vanneau huppé (1000 à 5500 ind.).
