Ecocomplexe du collinéen au nival avec réseau hydrographique à peuplements de vertébrés (Desman, Euprocte).

4.2 Quality and importance

Les habitats naturels sont représentatifs de ceux rencontrés sur substrat siliceux dans les Pyrénées Ariégeoises avec des activités d'élevage et de pastoralisme liés à ces habitats. Au total 26 habitats (86% de la surface du site) sont concernés par la Directive "Habitat" de 1992. Les enjeux de conservation les plus forts ont été ciblés sur les habitats de pelouses, landes et prairies. Le Desman des Pyrénées et la loutre d'Europe sont bien présent sur le site. 13 espèces de chauve-souris ont été contactées dont 3 sont d'intérêt communautaire.
