Other Site Characteristics

Dominante granitique, partie sédimentaire (20% du site), empreinte des glaciers (vallées, lacs de surcreusement...) Conséquences possibles d'une déprise pastorale sur les formations de pelouses notamment. Site très fréquenté sur certains secteurs pour diverses activités de plein air. Zones tourbeuses vulnérables par rapport au piétinement du bétail, des promeneurs et par rapport aux infrastructures touristiques.

4.2 Quality and importance

Pineraies à crochets et sylvestres remarquables avec zone d'introgression entre les 2 pins (Pin de Bouget). Végétation caractéristique de la haute-montagne granitique et calcaire. Nombreuses espèces végétales endémiques, subendémiques, à aire disjointe ou en limite d'aire.

Programme d'aménagement du PNPO 1998-2002. Aménagements forestiers pour les forêts domaniales et communales soumises. Documents d'objectifs, validé en décembre 2004, réalisé par le parc national des pyrénées. Mise à jour du formulaire standard des données suite à ce document d'objectifs, réalisé par le parc national des pyrénées.
