Other Site Characteristics

Le marais de Malibaud est un marais tourbeux sur calcaire, reposant sur un dépôt datant du tertiaire caractérisé par sa couleur orangé vif. De nombreux petits cours d'eau s'y rejoignent, au pied des montagnes de Serre et d'Uzège. Un site de petite surface est extrêmement sensible au draînage et au boisement.

4.2 Quality and importance

L’été, le maillage dessiné par les cours d'eau se comble par des pelouses de plantes annuelles désignées d'intérêt prioritaire par la directive.

OBJECTIFS ET PRINCIPES DE GESTION (à préciser avec les acteurs locaux) : - Déjà fortement réduit par rapport à sa taille initiale, le site de Malibaud est à préserver du drainage, de la mise en culture et du boisement. - Préserver les pelouses annuelles des activités agricoles. - Préserver la qualité des cours d'eau intermittents. INSTRUMENTS CONTRACTUELS, REGLEMENTAIRES ET FINANCIERS à envisager : - Contractualisation de la gestion. - Arrêté Préfectoral de Protection de Biotope, réglementation des boisements. - Acquisition foncière par le Conservatoire Rhône-Alpes des Espaces Naturels (avec du personnel pour l'entretien et la surveillance).
