Other Site Characteristics

Vaste massif volcanique de très bonne qualité, intérêts géologiques, géomorphiques et paysagers. Présence de nombreux sucs phonolitiques. Les pressions connues proviennent essentiellement du piétinement du bétail dans les tourbières d'altitude. L'exploitation extensive permet d'éviter des taux de changements importants. 4.2 Quality and importance

Seul site de Haute-Loire abritant la ligulaire de Sibérie. Population intéressante de Drosera et autres espèces rares ou menacées. Grande diversité d'associations végétales climatiques du subalpin. Présence de Helodium blandowii : non répertoriée dans l'application Nat. 2000
