Other Site Characteristics

Très grande diversité de milieux sur un ensemble exceptionnel de falaises. La surfréquentation des falaises nuit au chiroptères (dégradation de leurs lieux de reproduction et d'hibernation...). Les milieux ouverts sont sujets à l'embroussaillement.

4.2 Quality and importance

Le site est caractérisé par une diversité écologique et spécifique remarquable. Un ensemble exceptionnel de falaises accueille de nombreuses associations rupicoles, dont une endémique du Verdon : Asplenium jahandiezii. Ce site abrite par ailleurs 18 espèces de chiroptères et une avifaune remarquable. Présence de vieux boisements remarquables, propices aux chiroptères forestiers et insectes saproxylophages.
