Other Site Characteristics

This marine site is located in Primorsko-goranska county, in the Velebit channel. The site has two bays named Mala Draga and Uvala Žrnovnica. It is a specific karst type of Large shallow inlets and bays habitat. Lithostratigraphic unit represented on the coast is limestone and dolomite (lower cretaceous - K1). Soils on the coast are brown soil on limestone, limestone and dolomiteblack soil. Two coves; marine shelf; current form of the coves was created after the transgression of the sea after the last glaciation.
