Other Site Characteristics

The area is located in the northern Dalmatian coast, on the northern shores of Ravni kotari. There is a village Rtina, on the shores Ljubački bay which separates Ravni kotari from Pag island. Village is made from several hamlets along the road that leads to the Pag bridge, among them are Miočići. The population abandoned farming, agriculture, viticulture and animal husbandry, and turned to tourism. Construction threats to expand in the field, and to low muddy shoreline that are important halophytic habitats.

4.2 Quality and importance

- important feeding and roosting site for Miniopterus schreibersii, Myotis capaccinii, Myotis emarginatus, Myotis myotis and Rhinolophus ferrumequinum - one of the most representative sites for Mudflats and sandflats not covered by seawater at low tide
