Other Site Characteristics

Unevennesses of the slightly wavy dolomite plateau cut by monadnocks are filled with slope detritus and slope loess mixed with dolomite dust. The most eastern part of the Balaton Uplands which adjoins to the Mezőföld and the Keleti(Eastern)-Bakony. In terms of annual precipitation it is one of the driest areas due to the shading effect of Bakony.

B) számú melléklete: 40A0 Szubkontinentális peripannon cserjések 6240 Szubpannon sztyeppék 91H0 Pannon molyhos tölgyesek Quercus pubescensszel Fajok: (magyar név, tudományos név, ABC szerinti sorrendben) Szent-István szegfű (Dianthus plumarius subsp.regis-stephani) Beside the dolomite associations rich in species the loess vegetation rising from the Mezőföld and the submediterranean flora characteristic for the Balaton Uplands are also represented. Fauna of the diverse habitats is valuable.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok: A terület fő célkitűzései: • A kijelölés alapjául szolgáló gyepes élőhelyek fenntartása. • A szubpannon gyepek becserjésedésének, és technikai sportokkal történő károsításának megakadályozása. További célok és végrehajtandó intézkedések: • A területen található fekete fenyő elegyes molyhos tölgyes erdőállományok természetes átalakulási folyamatait hagyják érvényesülni. Ezeken az élőhelyeken a fekete fenyő eltávolítása felesleges bolygatást jelent; • A gyepek nem dolomit alapkőzeten kialakuló típusainak (hegylábi vastagabb talajok) fokozódó cserjésedésének megakadályozása a gyepterületek extenzív legeltetésével vagy cserjeirtással; • Az ürge élőhelyén a rendszeres legeltetéses gyepkezelés biztosítása; • A terület élőhelyeinek technikai sportokkal történő károsításának visszaszorítása, megakadályozása. No nature conservational management plan exists for the area. Souslik habitats need to be grazed. Dry grasses and white oak forests do not need management. Degradation caused by motocross cycling has to be prevented.
