4.2 Quality and importance

Kiemelt fontosságú cél a következő fajok / élőhelyek kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének fenntartása, lehetőség szerinti fejlesztése: euro-szibériai erdőssztyepptölgyesek tölgyfajokkal (Quercus spp.) (*91I0) sík- és dombvidéki kaszálórétek (Alopecurus pratensis, Sanguisorba officinalis) (6510) magyar fésűsbagoly (Dioszeghyana schmidtii) Part of the site is a nature reserve of national importance. The suggested Natura 2000 site consists of two longitudinal valleys. The protruding rocks of the valley head show a unique geomorphological picture, which was formed in a characteristic way by early human cultures. It is a unique European cultural heritage site. On the valley sides fragments of steppe woodlands, thickets and slope steppes are found. On the valley bottom mesophilic hay meadows and, at places, reed beds occur. The abandoned hay meadows are partly grazed now but only in areas near the inhabited places. The site has great invertebrate fauna assets. It has been surveyed from a botanical, ornithological and lepidopterological point of view.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. SPECIFIKUS CÉLOK 1. FŐ CÉLKITŰZÉSEK A hegylábperemi erdőssztyepp tölgyesek (91I0) értékes állományainak fenntartása, fejlesztése, a degradációs folyamatok csökkentése (Dioszeghyana schmidtii érdekében); A völgytalpi mocsárrétek, kaszálók fenntartása, a legeltetés illetve a kaszálás fenntartása révén. 2. TOVÁBBI CÉLOK A gyepterületek és cserjések záródásának megakadályozása, a gyepek fenntartása extenzív legeltetéssel (szarvasmarha, juh, kecske); Az inváziós fafajjal (akác) fertőzött erdőállományok természetességének fejlesztése A nem honos fafajú erdőállományok (pl. erdei fenyvesek) fokozatos átalakítása a termőhelyre jellemző honos erdőállományra; A löszgyepeket és árvalányhajas erdőspusztaréteket szegélyező töviskes cserjések (kökényes-galagonyás cserjések) foltokban történő visszaszorítása, legeltethetővé tétele (elsősorban az Echium russicum, Thlaspi jankae fennmaradása, állományának fejlesztése érdekében); A mezofil kaszálóréteken (6510) fenntartó kaszálásokkal az élőhelyek mozaikosságának a biztosítása; A patak parti sávjában található szórvány őshonos fajok (füzek, fehér nyár) kímélete; Az időszakos vizes élőhelyek védelme (Bombina bombina védelme, megőrzése érdekében).
