4.2 Quality and importance

Kiemelt fontosságú cél a következő fajok/élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének fenntartása, helyreállítása: Élőhelyek: Mészkerülő bükkösök (Luzulo-Fagetum) 9110 Fajok: Zempléni futrinka (Carabus zawadskii) The site includes one of the most natural acid beech forests of the Zemplén. In the woodland areas, due to earlier inappropriate land use practices, extensive spruce populations are found. Along the Bózsva Brook and at the Mátyás király-kút (King Matthias Spring) valuable hygrophilous communities (riverine alder forests, flushes) can be found.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok: A természetközeli állapotban lévő mészkerülő bükkösök fennmaradása a zavartalanság megőrzésével biztosítandó, valamint az esetlegesen megjelenő özönnövények eltávolítandók. A mészkerülő bükkösök termőhelyén álló idegenhonos állományok (elsősorban lucosok) átalakítandók, az erdőgazdálkodással érintett állományok szálaló jellegű beavatkozással (szálalás, szálalóvágás) kezelendők. Nevelővágások (tisztítások, gyérítések) során az elegyfafajok és a lábon álló holtfa kímélendők, az idegenhonos fafajok (Pinus sylvestris, Picea abies, Larix decidua, stb.) eltávolítandók, egészségügyi termelések esetében 5 m3/ha mértékig álló (vastag) holtfa visszahagyandó. A zempléni futrinka állományainak fennmaradása érdekében a szegélyzónák (bokros erdőszegélyek, magaskórósok) megőrzése szükséges. A zempléni futrinka esetében szükséges az állományok változásának monitorozása.
