Other Site Characteristics

This site is a small mixed forest. As the mixed forests in the Great Plain remain only in patches this site is important because it is the habitat of many species that occur only in these type of forests.

4.2 Quality and importance

Kiemelt fontosságú cél a következő fajok/élőhelyek kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének fenntartása és helyreállítása: Élőhely: Keményfás ligeterdők nagy folyók mentén Quercus robur, Ulmus laevis és Ulmus minor, Fraxinus excelsior vagy Fraxinus angustifolia fajokkal (Ulmenion minoris) 91F0 Faj: Dobozi pikkelyescsiga (Hygromia kovacsi) The mixed forests have great significance in the southern part of the Great Plain. They are remains of the ancient huge forests typical in this region.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok: A keményfás ligeterdő élőhelytípusba tartozó erdőterületek esetében a természetesség növelése, a vágásérettségi kor emelése, a site-on belül kiegyenlített korosztály-szerkezet kialakítása és fenntartása. Az erdei tisztások védelme érdekében a gyepek, tisztások erdészeti munkálatoktól, tárolási és szállítási tevékenységtől való mentesítése. Az erdei tisztások cserjésedésének, gyomosodásának megakadályozása aktív természetvédelmi kezeléssel. Természetközeli erdőkezelési eljárások bevezetése. A nagyvadállomány természetes vadeltartó képességnek megfelelő szinten való tartása.
