Other Site Characteristics

Il M. Musiné si affaccia direttamente sulla piana alluvionale torinese. Il versante sud ha clima marcatemente xerotermico e vegetazione costituita da boschi termofili e praterie aride. Alle sue pendici sono presenti piccole zone umide con ricchissima flora. Il sito per le sue caratteristiche ecologiche viene attribuito alla regione biogeografica continentale, anche se ricade per il 75% nella regione alpina all'interno dei 7 Km di buffer.

4.2 Quality and importance

La più importante oasi xerotermica del Piemonte, con fauna di invertebrati ricchissima epresenza di ben 21 specie inserite negli allegati Dir. Habitat, oltre ad alcuni ambienti (xerobrometi, vegetazione palustre) e numerose specie rare di Lepidotteri, Odo
