Other Site Characteristics

Zona pianeggiante con reticolo di ruscelli spesso a modesti dislivelli dal piano di campagna, a prevalente copertura forestale; molinio-calluneti con rada copertura di betulla e farnia, (presenza a bassa quota di pino silvestre nel settore S), terreni ancora a coltura, o con impianti di conifere e quercia rossa e altri in abbandono con colonizzazione di arbusti e alberi. Presenza di aree paludose.

4.2 Quality and importance

Importante lembo di brughiera pedemontana con ampie zone boscose ed estesi tratti in avanzata fase di colonizzazione da parte di betulle. Varie specie rare, specialmente di zone umide o a quote insolitamente basse.
