Other Site Characteristics

Caratteristica morfologia glaciale testimoniata da campi di massi erratici, laghi di escavazione glaciale, morene. Prevalenza di rocce cristalline.

4.2 Quality and importance

Presenza di Opilionidi endemici delle Alpi Sud-Occidentali. L'avifauna conta 12 specie di Allegato I Direttiva 79/409/CEE, essenzialmente legate agli ambienti alpini; l'area è inoltre interessata dal passaggio di numerosi rapaci e di altri grandi veleggiatori durante i movimenti migratori post-iproduttivi.
