4.2 Quality and importance

Nell'area del SIC proposto in Spina Verde si possono inoltre individuare numerosi tipi di vegetazione: tra i principali raggruppamenti forestali vi sono boschi mesofili con struttura variabile da fustaie a cedui con, tra le specie dominanti e più significative, la Farnia, il Carpino bianco, il Tiglio e gli Aceri. Vi sono poi boschi xerotermofili a struttura variabile da alto fusto a ceduo composto da diverse specie di latifoglie tra le quali sono da considerare specie guida la Roverella , il Cerro e il Rovere. Inoltre sono pure frequenti lOrniello, il Carpino nero, il Pino silvestre che possono sostituirsi completamente alle querce in condizioni di suoli più sottili e di governo a ceduo. Vi sono infine nuclei di fustaie o cedui di castagno, boschi o boscaglie a Roverella e Carpino nero, nuclei di fustaie di Robinia, cespuglieti a Nocciolo, cespuglieti a Ginestre, praterie mesofite,praterie xerofile.Oltre agli aspetti vegetazionali nel territorio proposto come SIC rimangono resti storici, archeologici, architettonoci che coprono un arco di tempo di più di 2000 anni inerenti tutte le facies dellinsediamento umano, dallinsediamento civile, a quello militare e religioso.
