4.2 Quality and importance

L'area possiede caratteri di notevole "selvaticità", per la pressochè totale assenza di strade e sentieri che la attraversino e la morfologia che la rende per ampi tratti quasi inaccessibile. Da sottolineare, per quanto riguarda gli habitat segnalati, la notevole estensione delle formazioni forestali a dominanza di Picea excelsa, che possiedono caratteri non comuni di continuità e di compattezza. Interessante, inoltre, è la presenza di tratti di faggeta nel settore occidentale dell'area e di bosco igrofilo (acero-frassineti) in corrispondenza di impluvi e pendii ombrosi.
