4.2 Quality and importance

La Val Cervia presenta un insieme ben differenziato di ambienti. Nella parte bassa si contraddistingue per la presenza di boschi misti di latifoglie ed aghifolie. Più a monte questi lasciano spazio sia ad estese peccete sia a lariceti. Qusti ultimi hanno un ricco sottobosco di ericacee, e vanno via-via diradandosi salendo di quota lasciando spazio a densi cespuglieti. Verso la testata della Valle troviamo varie malghe ancora attive e con un discreto numero di capi bovini. Sono così presenti spazi caratterizzati da pascoli e aree con vegetazioni più nitrofile, come i rumiceti. Sono presenti anche a quote più basse preti da fieno.
