4.2 Quality and importance

Sono presenti zone umide, arbusteti e limitati complessi boschivi, oltre a praterie xeriche alle quote più elevate. Nel complesso si rileva una elevata diversità floristica. L'erpetocenosi dell'area è piuttosto complessa e completa in quanto il territorio comprende anche aree aperte di bassa quota. L'escursione altitudinale, le condizioni fisiografiche, la tipologia di vegetazione boschiva e la zoocenosi presente determinano condizioni decisamente favorevoli alla presenza di specie ornitiche tipiche della zona montano-alpina; di particolare rilievo è segnalata la presenza del Gallo cedrone, nonché di Astore e Aquila reale. Si contano oltre 60 specie nidificanti. Nell'area in oggetto è scarsa la presenza degli Ungulati mentre si riscontrano elementi di sicuro interesse tra i Chirotteri quali ad esempio Pipistrello di Nathusius e Nottola di Leisler.
