4.2 Quality and importance

Sito di grande rilevanza naturalistica in quanto sede di un'importante garzaia che ospita numerose specie di interesse comunitario. Interessanti anche gli habitat presenti, di tipo idroigrofilo che, benchè alterati risultano ancora più significativi e meritevoli di tutela in quanto relitti sfuggiti agli ingenti interventi di bonifica che hanno alterato la fisionomia vegetazionale della pianura padana.
