E stata rilevata la presenza di alcuni habitat ritenuti di interesse regionale, di cui si indica il codice CORINE e la percentuale indicativa sul totale della superficie del sito: cod. 53.21 (0,01%), cod. 44.1424 (0,02%).

4.2 Quality and importance

" Sito di rilevante interesse naturalistico, in quanto uno dei pochi esempi relitti di bosco planiziale padano ben conservato. La posizione geografica del sito, al confine tra la regione biogeografica continentale e quella mediterranea, fa si ceh coesistano specie tipiche dell'ambiente padano lombardo e specie mediterranee. Si rileva anche la qualità ed importanza della componente faunistica, in particolare dell'avifauna e della fauna invertebrata xilosaprofaga. Da rilevare anche l'ottima qualità degli habitat acquatici laddove venga garantito per tutto l'anno un flusso minimo vitale degli stessi. Foresta semi-naturale antica mediterranea in prevalente fase biostatica (sensu Oldman 1990) costituita da querceto planiziale, frassineto e ontaneto. Presenze faunistiche prioritarie: Milvus migrans, Cerambix cerdo, Rana latastei. Presenza di numerosi endemismi: località tipica di taxa nuovi per la scienza (insecta). "
