Other Site Characteristics

Presenza di bosco submediterraneo di roverella e sulle cime porfiriche, arrotondate durante l'era glaciale di prati aridi. Nelle conche si sono formati piccoli laghi e torbiere.

4.2 Quality and importance

Area ad elevata biodiversità in cui trovano rifugio rare specie di flora e fauna. Prati aridi estesi in Alto Adige si trovano solo in Val Venosta e a Castelfeder.
