Other Site Characteristics

Il sito comprende la gola del torrente Valsura da San Pancrazio a Lana. L'unitá paesaggistica è caratterizzata da pareti rocciose e boschi di forra con tigli e olmi, che sulla parte esposta al sole sfumano in alto in un bosco di carpino nero e pino silvestre. Sul ripido lato in ombra prevalgono invece le peccete. In tutti i tipi di boschi, su entrambi i lati del torrente Valsura, vi sono massi sparsi, alti anche alcuni metri. Nelle zone più strette della Gola si trovano alte pareti rocciose, caratterizzate anche da rocce sporgenti. Nella Gola è presente anche una galleria in roccia che ospitava una condotta idrica oggi in disuso ma che funge da Habitat per diverse specie minacciate ed è in particolare hibernaculum e rifugio temporaneo per diverse specie di chirotteri dell'Allegato II. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Das Gebiet umfasst die Schluchtstrecke der Falschauer von St. Pankraz bis Lana. Die Landschaftseinheit ist durch felsige Hänge und Schluchtwälder mit Linde und Ulme geprägt, die auf der Sonnenseite nach oben hin in Hopfenbuchen- bzw. Rotföhrenwälder übergehen. Auf den steilen Schatthängen sind Fichtenwälder die dominante Waldgesellschaft. In alle Waldbestände sind auf beiden Seiten der Falschauer immer wieder meterhohe Felsklippen eingestreut. An den Engstellen der Gaulschlucht finden sich hohe, zum Teil auch überhängende Felswände. In der Schlucht befindet sich auch einen ehmahligen Wasserleitungstollen, der als Lebensraum für viele gefährdete Tierarten dient, besonders als Winterquartier und hängeplatz für verschiedenen Fledermausarten des Anhangs II.

Presenza di habitat e specie dell'Allegato I e II. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Landesweit bedeutende Schluchtstrecke mit unzugänglichen, steilen Schluchteinhängen; unbeeinträchtigte, strukturreiche Hangmisch- und Schluchtwälder mit einem hohen Anteil an Alt- und Totholz. Moos- und farnreiche Felsvegetation. Vorkommen von Lebensraumtypen und Arten der Anhänge I und II.
